1988: A Fish Called Wanda / Top Award-Worthy Comedy Performances
We've talked a lot on this show about comedians not getting the credit they deserve. In this episode , we're changing that! Not only do we dive into the comedy caper classic A Fish Called Wanda, we give credit some of of favorite comedic performances of all-time. Kevin Kline steals the show with his Academy Award winning role of Otto. Not to be outdone, the film also has terrific turns from Jamie Lee Curtis, John Cleese, and Michael Palin. We break it down and repeat all the classic lines along the way.
In a rarity, Kline won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in a comedic performance. We feel this should be a more common occurrence. So in this episode, we'll share our other favorite comedic performances of all-time. Comedy being our wheelhouse, we have a lot to choose from. Listen to find out what made the list, and what you would add.
